Founded in 1642 by the French, Montreal was then taken over by the British troops in the 18th century and since then; Montreal has become the most bilingual city in North Amercia and the second biggest French speaking city after Paris. The Greater Montreal Area had a population of nearly 3.5 million at the last census which makes it the second biggest urban area in Canada.

Downtown Montreal is where all the magic happens. Montreal is all about diversity; you will experience it as soon as you set foot on the Island.

You will encounter warm and welcoming people in the various ethnic neighbourhoods, the Old Montreal area, the Business district, St-Catherine Street and on the Main (St-Laurent’s boulevard). Apart from an incredible amount of culture, Montreal offers some of the best shopping, dining and nightlife that will definitely make you stay a memorable one!

Also, getting around Downtown is incredibly simple with our network of underground walkways that connect hotels, malls and buildings to the city’s subway system allowing you tovisit and browse around without having to put on your boots and winter jackets in the middle of January!

Law Games History

Law Games began in the 1980’s as a friendly hockey tournament between some law schools. It has since evolved from a one-day hockey tournament to a 4-day annual event including both athletic and academic competitions. Today, Law Games is the largest gathering of law students in Canada.
