Movie Night Theme

Hi to each next Law Gamers,

Here’s the very first information about the freaking party that is waiting for you next January! This year’s theme is “Movie Night”. So, this is the moment you’ve been waiting for to dress up like your favourite movie’s character. Here’s the plan: about 900 costumed people, an original talent show, a lot of alcohol and a party that you’ll remember for a long time!

Hope to see you there on January 4th 2010,

Anne Briand-Malenfant,
Social Affairs Coordinator.

First of all, we wish to thank you for selecting us to host the 2010 Law Games. We are happy to have the opportunity to welcome you in January.

As you will see, we have plenty of ideas to make these the wildest Law Games EVER and we have a dream team to coordinate it all! These Law Games will be held at different venues than those used in 2008; you’ll get to see a different Montreal, featuring the Red Light District!

As a bonus, all the venues are within 700m (walking distance), minimizing the travel time. These Games will include sports as usual, a moot court, parties with crazy activities and lots of fun games all topped off with a sumptuous banquet to end the Law Games in style!

Also, we will innovate this year with a “greener” philosophy: buying from local merchants, no bus transportation for the pub crawl (bars are located within a short walking distance from each other). As well, we will be placing recycling bins for bottles and cans on every floor of the hotel.

The money we raise from all those recycled bottles and cans (and we believe it will be a big amount because hey, after all, it's the Law Games!) will be donated to a foundation organized by the Canadian legal community with the goal of improving the lives of children in Africa, LIFE.

Communications Coordinator.
